Since break-in on 2011 Prius I have got no less than 51 mpg even when using the AC or driving on the highway at 70 mph. I see there are many of these cars that have gone over 300,000 miles with little trouble.

when accountign for the extra cost of a prius it does not save money and using the air conditioner or driving like a normal person brings the fuel economy down to less of that of a piston powered gas burning ford focus. it actually cost more per mile to operate. hence no savings tell the whole truth.

I get 39-41 mpg in town where we drive on hilly roads. This car is great. It is a leader in hybrid technology.
